The Rum Masters has fast become one of the most respected and high profile trade competitions in the industry, attracting entries from the finest Rum brands all over the world.
Chaired by The Spirits Business and a panel of leading spirits specialists, the rums were judged in a blind tasting, to discover the Rum Masters of 2014. Spirit Cartel achieved great results – in total there were eleven ‘Masters’ awarded and we managed to secure 3 of them!
Silver Medal – White – Joseph Banks 5 Island Rum
Master Medal – Up to 7 years – Joseph Banks 7 year Golden Age Rum
Gold Medal – Up to 7 years – Ron de Jeremy Reserva
Master Medal – Spiced Rum – Ron de Jeremy Spiced Rum
Gold Medal – Over 12 years – Ron Millonario Solera 15 year Rum
Master Medal – Over 12 years – Ron Millonario XO Rum
The Judges were as follows; the team of Judges were chaired by Becky Paskin (Spirits Business Editor) and Luca Cordiglieri and divided into 2 panels, which were as follows;
