Spirit Cartel has been appointed sole UK importer to Greek premium spirit producer Roots.
Roots Spirits are produced from the oldest distillery in Greece and are based on 160 year-old traditional Greek recipes with some novel twists. They are a blend of fine herbs and special ingredients, indigenous to Greece and the Mediterranean. Made with only 100% natural extracts, without any flavour essences or artificial additives, there are four different and very unique expressions.
RAKOMELO
Grape pomace distillate with natural honey, blended with cinnamon and clove buds. The complete absence of sugar and the sweetness of honey create a one of a kind blend.

TENTURA
Natural extraction of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, citrus. An old school liqueur from a harbour town since the 15th century enters a new age.

1. 20ml Roots Tentura
2. 20ml Cachaça
3. 80ml apple juice
4. 10ml fresh lime juice
5. 10ml honey syrup
6. Use a martini glass and garnish with a sprig of mint
MASTIHA
Handcrafted with distillate of mastiha resin from the unique mastiha trees on Chios island.
Chios Kiss
1. 60ml Roots Mastiha
2. 30ml honey-thyme syrup
3. 30ml lemon juice
4. Basil foam
5. Use a martini glass and garnish with basil leaves
HERB SPIRIT
Natural extraction of diktamo, a special herb from Crete, with vanilla pods, liquorice root, extracts of nutmeg nuts and other special herbs.
Herb Paantsch
1. 60ml Roots Herb Spirit
2. 20ml fresh lemon juice
3. 15ml ginger spirit
4. 15ml cucumber syrup
5. 7.5ml vanilla Madagascar syrup
6. Shake with ice and strain in to a highball glass filled with ice, garnish with slice of cucumber, mint and grated nutmeg
