Job Function

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our tight knit family who will be accountable to grow the distribution of core Spirit Cartel brands within Greater London, with particular focus on the North, East and South of the city.

The core element of this role will be to agree and deliver listings for our key portfolio brands including, but not limited to Four Roses Bourbon/Tito’s Vodka/Worthy Park Rum/818 Tequila & Clase Azul Tequila. This will include gaining House Pour agreements, cocktail listings and special activations, all of which are to increase the distribution of our portfolio. The postholder will also be responsible for the development of the prestige market through utilising our super premium brands centred around the Clase Azul Tequila range.

Working Pattern:

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Gaining KPI level Pouring/Cocktail/Listing agreements across our portfolio of spirits
  • Organising customer meetings and events to build awareness of the brands
  • Maintaining and developing customer relationships and controlling costs. This is a sales focussed role with an emphasis on deliverables
  • Delivering budgeted sales volume by brand, securing listings against an identified customer target list
  • Understanding and delivering commercial agreements and plans with key customers across the On Trade
  • Identifying future areas of growth to aid with the development of account plans to deliver new volumes
  • Establishing and profitably building relationships with decision makers and bartenders in key outlets
  • Maintaining and developing thorough and up to date knowledge of potential accounts within your region, including high profile outlets
  • Implementing and delivering training programmes across the portfolio; helping the with preparation of cocktail lists
  • Execution of brand plan within trade, implementation of promotional activities
  • Keeping the Company one step ahead of the competition by feeding back brand and market intelligence
  • Championing and articulating our brand portfolio USP’s to internal and external key customers
  • Managing and tracking all customer sales data to ensure accurate reporting both direct and indirect
  • Supporting wholesalers: build relationships & knowledge within their sales team to support our endeavours
  • Effectively working with the Berkmann Wine Cellars’ sales team to increase distribution

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • An understanding of the UK spirits market and current trends in the on / off trade
  • A solid understanding of commercials, P&L management and ROI
  • Demonstrate an exceptional level of passion and knowledge for spirits, including knowledge of production methods and raw materials involved with spirits
  • Demonstrate sales delivery in the on-trade 
  • An outstanding communicator
  • A self-starter who thrives on being given their own space to develop effective business plans
  • Brilliant knowledge of potential customers within the region you are responsible for
  • A team player with the confidence to offer solutions at all times
  • Sales driven but with a clear desire to work with brands
  • A flexible approach to working within a team

Desirable

  • Experience of having existing relationships with customers in all channels and awareness of the opportunities to be explored
  • Sales experience within the spirits industry
  • Experience of working with wholesalers and / or retailers
  • Experience of working with brands as well as customers
  • Delivering brand training
  • Cocktail knowledge

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm. There will be some evening (and potentially weekend) work when you will have to visit certain customers, potential customers and / or attend events.
