In 1995, Bert “Tito” Beveridge obtained the first legal permit to distill in Texas and created Tito’s Handmade Vodka. We batch distill our corn-based vodka using old-fashioned pot stills and the vodka is naturally Gluten-Free. Tito’s Handmade Vodka is certified Gluten-Free by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization. Tito’s doesn’t add any mash back into the spirit after distillation, which could add gluten, but not Tito’s. They love simplicity and authenticity of the label— two elements at the core of everything they do, including the copper cap. Tito’s use old-fashioned pot stills and taste-test every batch. The process, similar to that used to make fine single malt scotches and high-end French cognacs, requires more skill and effort, but it’s well worth it.
Tasting Notes:
COLOUR: Light gold. Striking maturity despite its young age,
NOSE: lime, followed by tart citrus fruits.
TASTE: Slightly sweet with creamy mouthfeel and cracked black pepper spice. Clean minerality with grain character evident and a faint hint of tinned sweet corn.
