Tesseron Cognac

Sourced entirely from domaine vineyards in the Grande and Petite Champagne regions and uniquely using three grape varieties – Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche & Colombard – Tesseron is the epitome of distinction, excellence and perfection. Founded in 1905, Tesseron Cognac remains family-owned and is run today by third-generation family member Alfred Tesseron – also owner of the prestigious 5ème Cru Château Pontet-Canet – with his daughter Justine and son Noé. With 100 Robert Parker points (‘as ethereal cognac as anyone could ever hope to drink’) and crowned Paul Pacult’s Best Spirit in the World, the Tesseron name is synonymous with very rare, aged cognacs. Their range is almost exclusively XO, with their oldest reserves dating back to the pre-phylloxera era of the nineteenth century. The Classic, Signature and Prestige Collections are now offered in decanters reflecting Tesseron’s standing within the cognac elite.

Country of Origin: France

Production:

Tesseron Cognac Lot N° 53 X.O Perfection is a blend of our most sublime stocks of Grande Champagne Cognac. It has a sumptuous topaz colour with a bouquet of plums, figs, and chocolate on the palate. This Cognac borders on perfection, finesse and complexity complemented by a refreshing lift on the finish.

COMPOSITION: Ugni Blanc and Colombard grapes.
BLEND: Grande Champagne.
AGED: More than two generations in Limousin oak casks.

Tasting Notes:

COLOR: Splendid mahogany.
NOSE: The wonderful, heady aromatic tang, borne of long wood ageing is immediately compelling. This gives way to hints of wood, dried fruits & tobacco – very rich and generous.
PALATE: An extremely appetizing cognac, opulent, rounded and yet vivacious. Pepper & spices emerge initially before revealing dark chocolate and fresh herbs. Complex, it shows supreme finesse, supple opulence and very good length.
