J. Bally is one of the oldest distilleries on the Caribbean island of Martinique. Since 1924 Bally has produced its famous vintage rum in Carbet, a particularly suitable zone of the island for the cultivation of sugar cane. Its products are French-style rhums agricoles, distilled not from molasses, as with many other rums, but from the juice of sugar cane harvested in the limited period between January and February. These rums are characterised by their delicate flavours, roundness on the palate and great fruit aromas.
Tasting Notes:
APPEARANCE: clear, gloss, colourless
ON THE NOSE: a nice intensity. This rum presents a floral character marked with notes of fresh sugar cane, orange blossom, and honey, accompanied by dry vegetal notes (linded, tea) and notes of tropical fruits (citrus, pineapple, banana, cherry).
ON THE PALATE: smooth balanced with a nice aromatic complexity, a harmnious marriage with the olfactory notes.
